เด็กยุคนี้ คือ ผู้พัฒนาโลกในศตวรรษที่ 21 หมดเวลาแล้วสำหรับการหาความรู้ หรือประกอบอาชีพที่น่าสนใจ แต่ขาดทักษะความเข้าใจและใช้เทคโนโลยีดิจิทัล (Digital Literacy) ณ จุดนี้ ถึงเวลาที่เด็กๆ ควรเรียนรู้สิ่งจำเป็นที่ต้องใช้ในอนาคต และโรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร (ปฐมวัยและประถมศึกษา) ได้บรรจุไว้ในหลักสูตรของระดับชั้นประถมศึกษา คือ รายวิชา Coding ในกลุ่มสาระพิเศษ
ด้านผู้เชี่ยวชาญ NUDS ได้รับความร่วมมืออย่างดีเยี่ยมจาก Dr. Antony Harfield หรือที่เด็กๆ เรียกว่า “Teacher Ant” อาจารย์สังกัดภาควิชาวิทยาการคอมพิวเตอร์และเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ คณะวิทยาศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร พร้อมทีมงานมาช่วยสอน ซึ่งอาจารย์แอนโทนีเป็นทั้งผู้สร้างและผู้อยู่เบื้องหลังความสำเร็จมากมายด้านเทคโนโลยีคอมพิวเตอร์ และการคิดค้นนวัตกรรมใหม่ๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น แอพพลิเคชั่นบนสมาร์ทโฟน อุปกรณ์ติดตาม RTK GNSS รวมทั้งผลงานอีกมากมายที่การันตีคุณภาพด้วยรางวัลระดับนานาชาติ นอกจากความสามารถด้านนวัตกรรม Teacher Ant ยังมีมนุษยสัมพันธ์ดีเยี่ยมในการสอนเด็กเล็กและเทคนิคการนำเสนอที่สนุกสนาน ทำให้ Coding เป็นสิ่งน่าสนใจสำหรับนักเรียนตัวน้อย ควบคู่ไปการเรียนรู้ภาษาอังกฤษและทักษะของ Programmer อันเป็นพื้นฐานของการคิดอย่างเป็นลำดับขั้นตอนและการแก้ปัญหา ซึ่งเด็กๆ สามารถนำไปใช้ในชีวิตจริงได้อย่างไม่มีวันสิ้นสุด

Children at this age are those who save the world in 21st Century. Time is up for searching for knowledge or interesting jobs that lack skills and understandings of Digital Literacy. Now, it is time for children to learn essential subjects that they need for the future. Accordingly, Naresuan University Demonstration School (Kindergarten and Primary) has added the course “Coding” in the special learning area of the primary curriculum.
Regarding experts, NUDS has been honoured by Dr. Antony Harfield or “Teacher Ant,” a lecturer in Department of Computer Sciences and Information Technology, Faculty of Science, Naresuan University, who kindly volunteers to teach coding with his team to NUDS students. He is a creator and a behind-the-scene person of innumerable success on computer technology and innovations such as application on smartphones, RTK GNSS devices, and many more works guaranteed with international awards. Apart from his excellent capacity, Teacher Antony has great human relations to teach kids and presentation techniques to create fun activities. This makes his coding class full of interest and excitement, together with English language learning and computer programmers’ skill that lead to systematic thinking and problem solving – the essential skills that students can always use in their real life.
